Trump Crypto Feud Resolves as World Liberty Plans Major Investment
Eric Trump announced the resolution of a dispute over a Trump-branded cryptocurrency wallet, marking a truce in a conflict that had threatened to disrupt the family's growing crypto ventures. The proposed $TRUMP Wallet, developed by Fight Fight Fight LLC and backed by longtime Trump associate Bill Zanker, will no longer proceed after opposition from World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a Trump-affiliated firm.
WLFI, partially owned by the TRUMP family, contested the unauthorized use of the Trump name in the wallet's branding. The company issued cease-and-desist letters to Fight Fight Fight and its technology partner Magic Eden, effectively halting the project. Eric Trump clarified his lack of involvement in the initiative via a public statement on X, dispelling rumors of internal division.
The resolution clears the way for WLFI's planned investments in the crypto space, though specifics remain undisclosed. The $TRUMP meme coin, which gained traction earlier this year, remains unaffected by the dispute.
